Snapshot
- 68 vehicles built in 2018 recalled
- Manufacturing fault could lead to fuel pump issues
- Fiat Chrysler Australia contacting affected owners
The 2018 Fiat Abarth 124 Spider is currently under recall, three years after it was last on sale in Australia.
Affecting a total of 68 units built and sold in 2018, the Abarth 124 Spider's recall notice has been put out due to a manufacturing fault with the vehicle's fuel pump inside the fuel delivery module, potentially leading it to fail.
If the pump fails, it would result in a loss of engine power with the vehicle losing drive, increasing the risk of its occupants and other road users coming to harm.
Fiat Chrysler Australia is currently contacting known owners of the affected vehicles.
Owners are encouraged to contact their preferred Fiat and Abarth dealership to arrange the fitment of a new fuel pump.
