2018 Ford Ranger Custom Build
We purchased our 2018 Ford Ranger with the intention of transforming it into an adventure-touring dual-cab ute, capable of travelling to Central Australia, the Simpson Desert, the Flinders Ranges, Vic High Country, Tasmania, and back again. With the help of Australia’s class-leading aftermarket 4x4 industry, we’ve achieved that goal.
We were lucky enough to score a 3.2-litre-powered demo with only 250km on the clock, with a manual transmission. We chose the Ranger as it’s a top-selling new 4x4 to private buyers, and there’s plenty of great accessories available for it.
It was primarily used as a support vehicle for our 4x4 Adventure Series trips, so it had to be expedition-ready. Our world-beating aftermarket 4x4 industry didn’t disappoint, and we ended up with an exceptional tourer loaded with quality accessories.
