The I4 First Edition will benefit from the standard equipment already available in the V6 First Edition, as customers can also upgrade their vehicles with the same range of non-cost and additional cost options which were launched with the V6.

Lotus Cars Australia says the allocation of 120 V6 First Editions has already been exhausted, while deposits are accounted for roughly 70 per cent of the total I4 First Editions set to come to Australia.

In addition to this, Lotus has also revealed prices for the entry-level Base Edition variants, starting out at $155,990 before on-road costs for the I4 – a significant discount of $22,000 over the I4 First Edition.

The cheapest Emira V6 Base Edition will be fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox, starting at a list price of $169,990 while the six-speed automatic sets buyers back an extra $4000, although both Base Edition V6 Emiras are still $15,000 less expensive than the sold out V6 First Edition.

While more detailed equipment and options for the Base Edition Emira will be announced in the third quarter of this year, Lotus expects production of the I4 First Edition to begin in the first quarter of 2023 with deliveries to start in the second quarter, nearly two years after the model was first announced.
