Australian Chevrolet importer GMSV has revealed new options available to Australian buyers of the MY23 C8 Corvette.
In a statement, company director Joanne Stogiannis said that while high demand for the C8 in right-hand-drive markets had limited GMSV’s ability to offer personalisation, the brand will offer three new wheel options – including a forged aluminium design in either a bright machined-face finish or gloss black.
Black exhaust tips, and a new blackout interior trim, and an eye-grabbing ‘adrenaline red’ interior will also be added to the roster for the 2023 model.
The statement confirmed buyers will be given a choice of colours for paint, decals, brake calipers, exhaust tips, seatbelts, and interior trim.
While American buyers are offered a visualiser to ‘build’ their ideal C8 on Chevrolet's website, there’s so far no indication that GMSV will follow suit with Australian options.
According to Stogiannis, the change will also affect the way Corvettes are delivered.
“Providing customers with an improved level of personalisation was a key focus for us with this allocation, as well as news that we are providing smaller, more frequent, dealer allocations at this time,” she said.
“This will mean there is greater visibility on production timing, along with the opportunity for customers to personalise elements of their vehicle.”
MY23 C8 Corvette Stingray orders are expected to begin shipping in the fourth quarter of this year, with the higher-output Z06 variant likely to arrive sometime in 2023.
