After a new Mazda, but not sure how long you'll have to wait?
Issues such as semiconductor chip shortages, shipping problems and sickness and isolation have affected the ability of manufacturers like Mazda to keep their production lines going over the last two years.
As such, all of the Japanese brand's models are experiencing some delays at present, with some better than others.
Overall, the average wait time for a Mazda, according to Price My Car, is now 85 days – compared to 74 days at the start of this year.
While it states the quickest to get hold of are the Mazda 3 hatch and sedan at 61 days, the stop-sale for the most popular entry-level 2.0-litre variants remains in place due to stock shortages.
It is closely followed by the larger CX-8 and CX-9 on 65 and 54 days respectively, and the top-selling CX-5 mid-sized SUV at 66 days.
The worst affected are the brand's BT-50 ute and the MX-5 sports car, which had a wait of 113 and 266 days in November.
However, a spokesperson for Mazda Australia said many vehicles are now available for delivery before the end of the year, with improvement to its supply chain. The full statement is available below.

A spokesperson for Mazda Australia said its supply has improved since July, with unallocated vehicles set to arrive before the end of the year.
"As anticipated, stock levels for the vast majority of the Mazda range have steadily improved since quarter three of this year, with a number of available cars across the dealer network right now.
"Incoming arrivals across our most popular model lines – including the Mazda2, Mazda6, CX-3, CX-8, CX-9, BT-50 and CX-5 – in the month of December mean that customers who place an order now could also receive their vehicle by Christmas.
"Alternatively, customers wishing to wait until the new year can be confident that vehicle availability will continue to remain high across these models."
The spokesperson for the brand reiterated its stance of encouraging customers to speak directly with a dealer to confirm more specific information based on their choice of model, variant and trim etc.
"Our dealership teams are of course best placed to advise on the specific delivery time associated with individual specifications and engine configurations, but current wait times for the models listed above are less than a month, with a healthy amount of choice to meet different customer preferences."
We contacted a number of Mazda dealers who told us the situation is changing almost daily, but more cars were becoming available.
