If your weekend schedule wasn’t already busy enough with Bathurst on the telly, Seven82Motors has dropped a heap of cool cars on its website for your perusal and bidding pleasure.
You’ll find the full list of cars here, but scroll on for seven of our top picks. Bidding wraps up from 7pm Queensland time (8pm daylight saving time) on 10 October.
We’re told this Monza Red Phase 5 is the real deal. Built on an XD ESP, there’s a numbers-matching 351 Cleveland under the bonnet, hooked to an auto ’box. All the requisite Phase 5 bits are in place, including the wild Group C-style bodykit, wing splitters, unique grille layout, HO Phase Autos dash and race-look wheel.
There’s also plenty of documentation from both Ford and the Phase Autos team. Check out all the glorious Scheel trim, too!
This VK Blue Meanie tribute could be a great way to get into a piece of 80s iconography without spending insane dollars. It’s got all the Group 3 bits you’d expect, plus the welcome addition of a Supra five-speed manual to tame it down on highway drives.
For something cool and totally different, we’re digging this firetruck-style ’23 Ford hot rod. The right-hook C-cab runs a custom steel body and packs a quintessential tunnel-rammed 350 Chev and Powerglide combo.
You could change the paint scheme to whatever suits your needs, or embrace the full Hot Wheels look. Either way, it’ll turn plenty of heads on the street.
This gorgeous chopped EK van has lots of SM cred. Initially rendered by former Expression Session maestro Ryan Ford in our April 2010 mag, the steel version was built by the late, great Mario Colalillo and features a roof chop and paint from US legend Gene Winfield.
The van was left with its original grey-motor driveline, as featured in January 2012. It’s not a show car in the same sense as Mario’s WILDCAD, but it’s an uber-cool cruiser dripping with recent SM history.
Seven82 describes this big block-swapped VH Charger as the love child of an Aussie Charger and a Drag Pack Road Runner from the States, and that’s quite apt.
There’s now a 440-cuber in the Charger’s engine bay wearing alloy heads, roller rockers and a Holley 750 carb, offering a respectable 360hp at the wheels. Outside, you’ll find an A12-style scoop and 15-inch steelies with dog-dish caps that reflect the American look nicely.
There’s plenty of mega-tough VH Commodores around, but they don’t often come up for sale like this. Andrew Canicais’s genuine SS is an awesome example of the breed, spitting out 705rwhp with 14psi at the wheels thanks to its LS1 and 76mm turbo powerplant.
It does it all in proper style, too, finished in Alabaster White and acres of tweed, including all over the Kirkey seats!
Fancy some muscle with your luxury? Here’s a killer drop-top ’66 Galaxie 500 ready for summer cruising. It’s a fully restored car running a 390 big-block, matched to a four-speed Top Loader manual for six-up, gear-banging fun.
