It's not often you can have your cake and eat it too, but that's exactly the case when it comes to choosing the best performance tyre of 2016.
We plugged the results from our 2016 Tyre Test into our Bang For Your Bucks formula to see which offered the best value and our outright winner, the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT, triumphed again.
At $371 a tyre for our chosen 235/35 R19, it isn't cheap, but it's worth the extra. For those on a budget the $139 HiFly is worth a look, while Hankook's Ventus S1 Evo2 is a decent compromise between performance and price.
